At Always Caring of Connecticut, our goal is to provide consistent, reliable care while ensuring we can attract and retain high-quality caregivers.A 6-hour minimum allows caregivers enough time to build meaningful relationships with clients, establish a routine, and provide comprehensive support rather than rushing through tasks. Longer visits also reduce frequent caregiver transitions, which can be especially important for seniors who thrive on continuity and familiarity.Additionally, travel time, scheduling logistics, and caregiver availability make very short shifts difficult to staff consistently. By maintaining a 6-hour minimum, we're able to ensure dependable coverage and continue providing the level of care and attention our clients deserve.In certain situations, we may be able to accommodate shorter visits of 4 hours at a slightly higher hourly rate. What does non-medical home care not include?

Caregivers can assist with mobility, meal preparation, transportation to follow-up appointments, and daily support during recovery. Our caregivers can also assist with physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) exercises as directed by a licensed healthcare provider. While they do not provide therapy, they can offer reminders, encouragement, and support clients in safely following their prescribed exercise routine.
